The Nib ( @thenib ) is doing a whole month of queer comics and I was honored to contribute this one! You can read all of the other comics I’ve done for them here, and here is my comic from last year’s Pride Month. You can find more of my comics, including my Genderqueer series, on instagram and you can support me on patreon or on ko-fi if you’d like to help me keep making this work :)

Tip for dance people who want to be more gender-inclusive:

replace the idea of “men’s” and “women’s” roles in the dance with “lead” and “follow”. Particularly in partnered dances, there IS often a distinct role difference (the lead, well, leads the dance, while the follow responds to the lead’s cues) – but there’s no reason that the lead HAS to be a man and the follow a woman, other than traditional gender roles. Which as we all should know by now, are bullshit.  It sometimes physically works more smoothly if the lead is taller than the follow, but that isn’t strictly necessary, particularly with skilled dancers.

There’s also absolutely no reason why the same individual can’t or shouldn’t learn both parts and then dance them according to preference or partner availability.

Since I discovered that “step out of your comfort zone” is supposed to mean “safely experiment with doing small things to expand your life experience” and not “ignore the fact that you are disabled and cause yourself physical and emotional pain until you have a meltdown and then stay in bed for two days straight”, my life has drastically improved.

Literally not disabled people’s problem if disabled people make you uncomfortable. Fuck off.

Because polls get the most engagement I’m making a poll lol

(For the sake of this poll: a collector is anyone who *currently has* a collection of things either physically or digitally that they intentionally acquired which can be grouped together)

Are you a collector?

I am, I have a single collection

I am, I have multiple collections

I am not but I would like to have a collection

I am not. I don’t want a collection

I am not but I was previously a collector

I do not fit the definition you gave for this poll but consider myself one

Please please please please pleeeeeeeaaaaaaase tell me what you collect and optionally why!!!! (This is doubly true if your collection is related to a regulatory/“special” interest!!!!!!! That’s honestly the only reason I’m making this poll, I am begging youuuuuuuuuuu
